Angelina Jolie has requested to remove a judge. And this is because she claims that the judge didn’t reveal his business connection to Pitt’s attorneys.
However, Brad Pitt’s attorneys criticise Jolie’s attempts to remove the private judge. And the judge’s name is John W. Ouderkirk. So her actions are being described as a ‘transparently tactical gambit’ to suspend proceedings.
According to legal documents, accessed by People magazine, ‘unfortunately, the individuals hurt most by Jolie’s…gambit are the parties’ own children, who continue to be deprived of a final resolution to these custody issues’
So Jolie filed her paperwork on August 7th. And she did this because she was requesting to remove Ouderkirk from her and Pitt’s divorce proceedings. Because of his lack of transparency about other cases he was involved in. She claims that Ouderkirk was involved in other cases that included Brad Pitt’s attorney, Anne C. Kiley.
According to the filing, the judge ‘failed to disclose the cases [showing] the current, ongoing, repeat-customer relationship between the judge and Respondent’s counsel.’
