Divorce and Coronavirus Safety

Sabrina Guler has two children. And their ages are 14 and 6. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

What’s more; they live with her. However, her ex-partner is the father of her oldest child, and he is able to come over for a visit at any time.

Sabrina and her ex-partner agree when it comes to child safety.

However, Sabrina did have to explain to him the importance of preventative measures. According to Sabrina Guler:

“I say, Hey, this is what I do at my house.  In the past we’ve not been very aligned on the same values and he’s been a little more relaxed than I am, but on this, we’re very much aligned. They play in the backyard with each other. They do lessons online. He washes his hands when he comes in. We have family dinners. He does grocery pickup like I do. He’s never done that before, by the way.””

So Guler has another ex-husband, who is the father of her six-year-old. And he was wanting to visit her at the same time as American cities were beginning to lock down.

However, according to Guller:

‘He works in the hospitality industry. So we have agreed that now is not a good time’

What is the process for getting divorced in California?

So there are three common ways to conclude a marriage or domestic partnership

And these are:

  1. Divorce
  2. Legal separation
  3. Annulment

What’s more; both spouses don’t need to agree to end the marriage. And this is because if either spouse wont participate in the process, the other can still obtain a ‘default’ judgment.
